I have a thriller in mind that I am dying to write. The problem? It's a stand alone and in today's industry, stand alone novels don't sell. At least that's what we've been told, right?
In an indie author group on Facebook I recently asked what people most wanted to know about writing, marketing, and the business in general in an attempt to see what would benefit our readers the most. One author asked about stand alone novels. Fortunately, I've been thinking about this myself. After some research I found a few key things that you can do to help that stand alone sell. And the truth is, it's not that different from trying to market a series.
